Estelle Louis woke slowly to a sharp banging sound coming from somewhere behind her. Opening her eyes she was startled to see a budding landscape flashing by through a pane of dirty glass. For a moment she didn't realize where she was. Then she remembered. She was on her way to the famed Vision Springs. Sitting up the brunette rubbed the sleep from her eyes and ran a hand through her tangled locks. Turning she blinked at the tall black haired man who was driving. At seventeen Estelle had her license but it was a long drive and she had convinced her brother Jake to do it with her. Lucky for her he agreed because after about four hours she had gotten extremely tired. He had taken over driving and she had fallen asleep. Until now when the impatient kicking of her stallion had woken her.
"How long has he been kicking?" Covering a huge yawn with her hand she leaned down to peek at the cat carrier that held her African Gray parrot named Elliot. "About ten minutes" Came the reply. Estelle sighed. Her immense Freisian stallion did well with most things except trailers. He hated them with a passion so needless to say travel was not the most enjoyable procedure. Once you actually managed to get him in the trailer, which could take hours, he was usually fine for about an hour then he started getting impatient. Which was what was happening now. Estelle winced. "How long until we get there?" She had no idea how long she had been sleeping so she didn't know how far they had come since she had stopped driving. "Don't worry Jinx thats our turn right there" She leaned back in the seat and smiled. Jinx was a nicknamed her family had for her. She actually liked it too.
The banging increased as the truck slowed down to make the turn onto a long drive way ending in a beautiful barn. When the truck stopped Jinx nearly fell out the door but before she could run to open the trailer Jake's voice stopped her. "You get that crazy creature in the back settled in and I'll go check you in and put your things in your room. When I'm done I'll come back to say good-bye and give you your key" Jinx nodded then continued around back to begin unloading Blackout.
