Though Nat had just arrived to the stable, he needed to go and sit in the lounge for a few minutes before starting on his daily routine at the stable. It was almost the same everyday; take Lyric out, clean his stall, bring Lyric back in and clean him up, get ready for a lesson, take lesson, untack, let Lyric back out, rest, bring Lyric back in, feed him It was a the same old same old, but Nathan decided to do something different today. He had already gotten here later than expected, so it was a good start, to him anyways.
The two dog tags that hung off of Nat's neck swung forward than came back and hit the boy's chest as he walked towards the lounge. It was a nice day out, the sun was shining, but the wind was blowing, the perfect weather for a trail ride possibly? Nat nod in approval, another different thing to do today. As he neared the door, he saw movement inside the lounge, what looked like to be a girl and her...cat? Nat shrugged and opened the door to the lounge. The gust from the fan hit his face and a chill was sent up his spine. He looked over to the figure he saw moving before, he was right, it was a girl and her cat, a fluffy one at that. The girl had jet black hair with blue eyes? maybe, he couldn't really tell by the way she sitting.
Nat felt like doing something else, talking to a total stranger, something he hadn't done...often. The couch was empty next to the chair the girl was sitting in. So he walked over and sat down, he looked over at the girl and just starred for a few seconds. Realizing what he was doing, he opened his mouth, Hey I'm Nat, don't think I've seen you around here, are you new or am I just blind?" He laughed, out loud, he had a bad habit of doing that, it really irritated some people, but he doesn't care it's just a habit of his. He looked over at her cat, he/she was black a white, a cute cat, but Nat wasn't really a cat person, he liked dogs more, that why he forced his parents to get Major. Major was a good dog, very loyal and a great companion to Nat and his family. Thinking of Major, Nat made a note in his mind to bring him back to the stable with him next time. Major loved it out here who wouldn't? Also, Major and Lyric were great friends, running out in the pasture together, taking naps together, ahh the bond of animal and animal was strong and it goes to show anyone could be friends.

Meredith smiled as the stroked her soft feline friend before seeing someone walk in. She looked up at the male momentarily before looking back down at Petey, who gave a chirpy meow towards the male and tried to walk over to him when he sat down. Jumping from the arm of the chair to the arm of the couch, Petey walked down into the males lap and started rubbing his head against the males chest, chin, and hand, looking for attention. She felt herself being watched and looked up at him, smiling back.
I'm Meredith... and thats Petey. He doesn't like people much... well, people he doesn't know that well anyway. He seems to like you... but maybe its the horse smell making him a little high or something. she smiled and giggled a little, turning slighting so she could face this new person. I'm new, just got here yesterday with my twin brother. she said, clearing her throat a little. This boy was cute, but she didn't want to start crushes or anything the day after she got there. It didn't hurt to have cute friends though. And yourself? she asked, watching Petey. If you want him to stop, i can take him...

OCC: It's ok! ^.^ He smiled as the cat jumped into his lap and began to rub his body all over him. He didn't want to be rude so he stroked Petey's back. He was fairly soft, his black and white fur ran through Nat's fingers. As the cat's back inched up Nat's chest and face, his long hairs brushed against his nose, before he knew it, he sneezed. It wasn't a soft sneeze, it was more of a loud sneeze they were always loud. He looked over at the girl, Meredith and smiled. Excuse me., he smiled and petted the cat one last time before picking him up and handing him over to the girl.
Your new? I don't remember seeing you or your brother yesterday.Well of course he didn't, he had another cross country lesson, which was at another barn about 20 minutes away, he gone most of the day and after he got back to Vision Springs, his trainer offered to put his horse up, and he went straight home, to his bed. It was a long day, they worked on just about everything from lead changes to making straighter jumps. Lyric improved quit a bit from that lesson, Nat had noticed how he tucked in his legs better when his trainer had hopped on and did a ride around the course to see if Nat did see a difference in his horse, which he did. He was proud of his horse, but still they needed some training, but their getting there thats all that matters.
Me?he asked pointing at himself. That was pretty stopped, he was the only other person in the lounge. No, I've been at this barn for a little over a year now. What brought you out here? He looked down at his hands than down to his shoes, he had on Vans of course, the God of all shoes to Nat anyways. Nat probably had about twenty to thirty different, he was basically obsessed with them. He stopped starring at his shoes and looked back up to the girl. She was pretty, her eyes were blue, just like he thought. But they were much prettier then he had imagined, they were a bright blue, almost electrifying looking, but they were gorgeous. Nat found himself starring them, he quickly realized it but probably not fast enough, he turned his head looked out the window towards the training ring. There was a girl, that looked to be about 5'4, riding a very large jet black horse, she was trotting him around the ring, but it looked he was giving her trouble. The girl soon fixed it, she pulled in her right rein and gave him a nice little kick with her heel, sending the black beast turning to right. The girl than maneuvered the horse into a nice tight circle. Nat turned back and starred at his shoes again, not waiting to see what the horse did. Word Count:499

Bless you. she said smiling when he sneezed and took the cat from him when he handed him to her. Excuse me for a minute... I'm going to go put him up in my dorm. she said, standing and putting Petey on her shoulder before walking off and up the stairs towards her dorm. Opening the door, she walked over to her bed and put Petey down on it before filling his food and water. Looking around for anything that he could knock down and break, she turned and walked out, closing the door behind her and walking back downstairs.
Sorry about that; I didn't want him getting annoying. she said and sitting back down on the chair in the same position as before. Oh, we got here later in the afternoon and put the horses up before going to our dorms and unpacking and such. We weren't out much yesterday. she shrugged. May was a good horse, having a nice trot, canter, and gallop. She didn't gallop much on May unless she needed too, which was only when she was barrel racing, which most of the time it was only cantering anyway. Taking in a deep breath and letting it out slowly, she smiled again. Oh, Saylem and I needed a good place to train for competitions and we have an uncle out here so we decided we would come here and visit him on the weekends while we stay here the rest of the time. she said, keeping the smile. She felt him starring at her, and looked away a little hoping not to get nervous like she usually did. Her eyes were a dull grey blue at the moment, they quickly faded when she was nervous, upset, depressed, or angry. At the moment, she felt herself getting nervous. So, who's your horse? I have a Lusitano mare named Medeival Mayhem, or May for short. she said, trying to forget about being nervous.

Thanks he said bashfully looking up into her blue eyes, they were tad paler than they had been the last time. Wonder why they change like that? he asked himself,I guess it'll just be a wonder. he thought. Nat waited patiently as Meredith took her cat back up the stairs and to her dorm. Thinking of dorms, Nat was glad he didn't have one, he liked his house, but not everyone would could be as 'lucky' as him, so people say. She was only gone for about 3 or so minutes, bu tit seemed like forever to Nat.
Nat smiled as she came down the stairs and walked back over to the chair. She was cute and he couldn't get her out of his mind, it was strange he'd never really started felling about a girl so soon, it was a little awkward. No wonder I hadn't seen you, I was out at another barn practicing on their cross country cross with my trainer and when I got back I went straight home. he paused thinking of yesterday, god was it long day, it seemed to go on and on, My trainer made me an offer to put my horse away, it was an offer I couldn't resist. he said with a smirk. It wasn't like him to not take care of his horse, but after yesterday he had a good excuse.
Thats cool. he said, looking back down to his shoes. I've been here most of my life, Visions Springs is one of the nicer barns out here. he looked back up and smiled at her. Thinking of his horse, he knew he'd have to get out of here fast before his trainer really got pissed and it was never a good day when she was pissed. Me, I have a Selle Francais, named Your My Kind of Music, But I just call him Lyric. he smiled once more, he sure was doing that a lot today, it's probably a good to though. I also have a Morgan, named Love the Way You Dance or Babe for short. Of course his horses names were pretty strange, but he liked it that way, they were unique.
