Curtis backed Seduction down the trailer as they reached the show ground. This was it, his chance to show the others that he and Seduction were the best team around here. Seduction’s pelt quivered in excitement as he looked around, ears pricked, watching all the horses and trailers. He knew where he was and sent out an exited whinny to prove it. Curtis rubbed his neck softly to calm the stallion down as he tied him to the side of the trailer. Curtis walked into the side compartment of the trailer and grabbed his tack trolley. It held everything, his saddle and saddle pat on the top with the bridal laid over it. Beneath that was a compartment that held everything else he would need during the show.
He grabbed a sponge and a bucket and went to the bathrooms inside the facility to fill the bucket half way with warm water and added a few soap suds which he mixed together using his hand. He carried it back to Seduction and began to wash the horse with the sponge, making sure he got all the dirt off his brown bodice and all the stains from his white feathers and blaze. He then grabbed a few towels and dried the horse himself. Time consuming, true, but it was worth it. He grabbed a comb and began untangling the horses mane and tail, and yes even his feathers. Next was the curry comb, there wasn’t too much dirt left on the stallion, he just wanted to be sure to get it all and went over the stallion using small circular movements with the brush. He used the body brush to smooth out Seduction’s coat and make it shine. Last was the hooves, he cleaned them out quickly and used some hoof polish to make them shine a bright black.
Now it was time to tack up the stallion, he had been good so far, and all Curtis could do was hope that this attitude lasted at least a little bit longer until he had the chance to get the girth tightened. But as soon as the black saddle pad was laid in place on the stallions broad back he began to shift his weight and snort. Curtis rubbed his shoulder slightly in a small attempt to keep the stallion calm for a few minutes longer. He picked up the small black jumping saddle and laid it on the stallions back, he adjusted the pad and saddle before going to the opposite side of the stallion and tightening the girth up. He poked the stallions side, but for once the stallion was bloating himself up, call him crazy but Curtis actually thought that he may be sucking in, he wanted to go out in that ring. He wanted to show the judges what he had. Curtis laughed slightly and rubbed the blaze on the stallions forehead. The last piece of tack for the saddle came next, he grabbed the breast strap and placed it onto the stallion, it was a nice black, just like the rest of the tack. Seduction turned his head and looked at him, as if to ask what was taking so long.
“Don’t worry boy, we’ll show them. We’ll have our moment of fame in just a little while.”
He walked around to the other side of Seduction where his trolley was still standing. He slipped the halter off the stallions head, where the nose piece was off the stallion but the neck piece was still buckled in place. He picked up the bridal and slipped it on, not having any issues with asking Seduction to take the bit. Once buckled and checked to make sure the bridal wasn’t too tight or too loose. He took a step back and looked the stallion over, he was perfect. Now it was time to get himself ready. He already had his jumping breeches on, they were a beige color, but he had a black wife beater on while he prepared the stallion, but now that he was ready he went into the truck and grabbed a white formal button up shirt and pulled a black showing jacket over it. Lastly he grabbed a helmet, tucking it over his long black hair. He looked in the mirror once, his gray eyes reflecting back at him. He walked towards Seduction and took the halter the rest of the way off and slipped the reigns over the stallions neck and mounted swiftly. One kick on the stallions sides sent him off towards the ring to walk the course once.

i am all extremes. try to figure me out, you never can. there's so many things i am.
The sky was a bright blue canvas to the sun, and fluffy white clouds, like a painting holding the joy of an artist. There was no wind, not a whistle of God, he must of been having a day off. But to make up for the still weather, the fact that Mother Nature was today, being kind to the riders and horses who were attending a show. The grass was emerald, warm and dry to give spectators the perfect seat by the ringside. Trailers and lorries were parked in rows, various colours and models creating the perfect picture for anyone for a taste of Equestrianism. Horses from all walks of life were tied up outside them. Chestnuts, bays, greys, coloureds, you name it.
Riley hit the breaks, releasing air and announcing another arrival for the competition. She elegantly jumped out of the black jeep and headed towards the front ramp of her trailer. Tall, leather boots headed up the ramp before reappearing moments later, followed by four white legs, and perfectly polished hooves.
ooc, not finisheddd. :]
