Show Type: western pleasure
The judge is going to ask you to bring your horses in at a relaxed walk, after a circuit and a half around the arena the judge will ask you to bring your horse to a sitting trot (meaning you don’t rise with your horse - its to test your seat and make sure you can keep from flying around the saddle). After two circuits he will ask you to lope your horses, (like a canter, a little slower and the strides are longer). You will lope for two more circuits and the judge will ask you to slow your horses and bring them to halt. Turn your horse around and do the same thing. (walk for a circuit and a half, do a sitting trot for two circuits, and then lope your horse for two circuits.) You will then leave the arena at a relaxed walk.
