—The Character— Name: Charlotte Elizabeth Archer (Cricket) Face Claim: Lacey Mosley Age: 17 Gender: Female Height: 5'3" Hair Color: varies; usually a couple shades of brown Eye Color: dark brown Piercings: nose, ears Tattoos: four hoofprints with a heart in the right corner on her left ring figer. Other? (appearance wise): Unique clothing style. When you first look at her, the angles of her face seem off. Sexual Preference: Straight Personality: More often than not, this young woman is cheery and full to the brim with optimism. She loves to laugh and joke; there's hardly ever a time when she's not at least smiling. She's surrounded by a magnetic air that just draws people to her, as if they crave to bathe in the light which makes her glow with such life. Cricket's not loud in her happiness, oh no- she values quiet atmospheres as much as a librarian. Rather, she's got the serene quality to her which would be known as elegance on others, but on Cricket, it's just the sight of her reading a book in Jasper's stall.
Beneath the bright exterior is a will so strong, not even her father has managed to do more than bend it. She's set in her beliefs and hardly anything riles her due to her own self-confidence. Cricket knows her lot and worth in life; it's enough for her and if you can't deal with that, too bad. She won't shrink from facing conflict, however, and will listen to both arguments before she makes a judgement. Just don't ever start to yell. The more you raise your voice, the quieter she gets until you have to strain to hear her. And then, well, you might as well kiss your pride goodbye.
It's not that she has a temper, she just doesn't like to be yelled at. In fact, it's one of the rare things she'll say she really and truly loathes. If you catch her on the right day, it can even make her so upset as to make her cry.
Even if she doesn't like you, Charlotte will hardly show it to your face. She's always believed in being polite no matter the circumstances, but push her too far and you're likely to get the short end of the stick real quick. This rarely happens (only on the occasions when she hasn't had enough coffee), but don't ever expect an apology. She may be a child at heart, but her pride is greater than a mare's, especially when it comes to saying "I'm sorry." You more than likely deserved it, anyhow.
Brief History: To begin, we must start with Charlotte's parents. Abigail McTierney was a world-reknowned cellist by the age of 23, and had come to Sydney for yet another performance. She had planned to remain for a week afterwards for some well-deserved R&R, but she ended up meeting the man who would change her life. By the age of 25, Owen Archer had taken over his father's ranch and had been in the business of horses since conception. They were his lively-hood, whether in the form of breedings, selling, buying, training, racing, or showing. He had made quite a deal of money in his first few years and wisely invested in various offshore accounts. He was a self-made millionaire by the time he met his future wife. Owen first met Abby when they stumbled into each other at a local horse auction. Cupid had a field day. They were married on October 28th less than a year after meeting. They've been together for twenty-two years. Desiree was their first child, quickly followed by the twins, Derik and Brock. Charlotte was next, then Lilly, and finally Annamarie. The Archer crew grew up with horses, just like their father, and their mother was delighted to find that every child had musical inclinations. They each recieved excellent educations and were given the choice at the age of twelve to either continue their education in Sydney, or study abroad at the age of 17. Cricket was the only one to choose to study abroad. "I want to ride, Daddy. And the best place to train is in the states." Owen couldn't argue with his daughter's logic. So, as a going away present, he let her choose from the herd and assured her an all-expenses-paid trip. It took a year for her to finally make a decision, but the sight of Jasper on his wobbly legs had stolen her heart. They spent the next five years in training, and on Cricket's 17 birthday, both were shipped overseas to Kentucky.
