 Marseille Equestrian Center was built just two years ago, originating from a tiny little farm on the east side of Hedon. It has become the dominating force in the area, attracting riders from miles away to ride with the world-famous trainers who took up residence here.
But nothing can be all good.
The drama started when Marseille's founder's daughters fell for a groom. It was a modern-day Romeo and Juliet; they met in secret, planned to elope, until the boy ran off. Maybe it was the commitment, maybe he found someone else, but it set off a feud between the two families. The founding family held the loyalty of many of the boarders, or at least they thought they did. Most of the people in town knew better than to cross them. But when the boy comes back to his family and tells a tale of attempted suicide, death threats, and abuse from the girl, everything changed. The girl denied everything and insisted it was all him. Most of the town believes the boy, but to press charges against the girl and her parents would mean terrible things would happen.
Beneath the cover of blue ribbons, trophies, and prize money, there's an explosion waiting to happen.
