PLETTENBERG BAY ACADEMY
Plettenberg Bay, or Plett, as it is more familiarly known, is the most fashionable spot on the Garden Route and has been called the Riviera of Africa. It’s no exaggeration. With fabulous beaches stretching for miles, whole neighbourhoods of expensive summer homes hogging the best views, a couple of championship golf courses, and about a dozen world class polo fields, it’s definitely the playground of the rich. It makes sense then that this playground of the rich also has an equestrian academy
Nestled in the beautiful coutryside of Plettenburg Bay in South Africa is one of the top equestrian academies in South Africa. The academy has few schools around the world that rival its facilities and riding program. It has the proud title of producing the first group of South African Olympic Champions in Equestrian Sports.

The year is 2018, the school is preparing a new group of Olympic hopefuls in the various equestrian sports. But not all the students are vying for Olympic spots. The showing and Vaulting students are preparing for national and world championships in their respective sports. The schools policies are causing a rift between these two groups of students and caught between the two groups are those students who are involved in more than one discipline. The rifts however are now beginning to show between the three Olympic disciplines as well. The rifts started out out as small disagreements but have now developed into something more sinister. Lives are at risk, students will do anything to prove that their chosen discipline is superior to all the other disciplines.
A recent accident which caused a talented showjumper to become wheelchair bound was however the last straw. The school fired its director of riding and hired a new one in her place. Is it too late to save the school or is the school doomed?
