Armand smiled softly to himself as he brushed out his long black hair, he didn't feel like spiking it today so he was inviting trouble in reality. After all, when his hair was down he looked much like a girl, not like he didn't any other day, which he found very funny when a guy would try to hit on him. Always a bundle of laughs.
Glancing down when he felt something paw at him, the boy smiled softly and scooped up the solid white kitten. “Well Snow how would you feel like going on a ride today?” He asked the little kitten. He smiled widely when the kitten’s only response was head-butt his chin and starting purring loudly. He glanced over to his other cat who was lounging in front of the window of his dorm. “Alright Smoke, you have the place to yourself, no inviting any male cats.” He said almost jokingly. Smoke was fixed after all.
Tucking the kitten securely under his arm, Armand left his dorm room, shutting the door behind him as he walked down and out towards the stables. So which horse was he going to ride? Hmmmm, there was either Heilig, his red roan mare, Der Ietzle Tag, his dun roan mare who happened to by Heilig’s elder half-sister, or his beloved stallion Rette Mich, the white one. He chuckled softly seeing the white kitten squirm when she saw a bird. That decided it, white cat, white horse, he’d take out Rette Mich.
He walked through the stables towards the cluster of three stalls that housed his three precious babies. He rubbed Der Ietzle Tag’s head calmly. “Be good my precious.” He said to both the mare and kitten as he placed the little white thing on the mare’s back, neither seemed to mind much either. Armand turned his attention to the big white stallion across from the dun roan. “Yes Rette, we’re going for a ride, and Snow is coming with.” He said with a soft smile as he rubbed the stallion’s pale nose.
He turned and walked to the tack room and grabbed his grooming kit. Letting himself into the stallion’s stall he grabbed the curry comb and went to work on the stallion, white hair flying everywhere. Armand smiled slightly. “Should’ve named you Snowstorm bud.” He said calmly, the stallion merely shook his head and mane at the comment. Apperently Snowstorm was a mare’s name to the stallion. Armand smiled as he finished with the curry comb and dropped it into the kit and fished out the hoof pick. He ran his hand down the stallion’s leg and said, “Up.” the stallion promptly lifted his leg so Armand cleaned out the hoof gently before setting it back down and repeating the process to the other three legs.
When Armand had finished cleaning off his horse he rubbed the shortest part of the stallion’s mane calmly. “Now you’ll behave and you’ll get a few carrots when we get back.” He said calmly, of course Rette would behave, he only had problems when another horse came up from behind or started galloping ahead of him. Rette was an ex-horse horse, used to have a fancy sounding name, but Armand hadn’t liked it and renamed him Rette Mich which was German for Rescue Me, and it had seemed like that to him when he’d seen the white horse competing.
He sighed softly as he took the grooming kit back to the tack room, rubbing each of the mares’ faces calmly before returning with a simple western saddle and matching bridle, the saddle blanket under his arm. He let himself back into the stall calmly, hanging the bridle over the door along with the saddle as he tossed the blanket over the white stallion’s back. Making sure that it was settled, he turned and grabbed the saddle and hoisted it onto the stallion, making sure it too was settled properly before doing up the girth. He patted the stallion calmly as he grabbed the bridle, and stallion knowing he was going for a ride, grabbed at the bit eagerly, mouthing at it in impatience as he waited for Armand to finish buckling it on his head.
Grabbing the reins, he lead the stallion out, shutting the door behind him before looking over and seeing that Snow had hopped over to Der Ietzle Tag’s stall door. He smiled slightly after rubbing the mare’s face again. “We’ll go for a ride later my pretty lady.” He said calmly as he scooped up the kitten and led the stallion outside while holding the kitten.
When they reached the outside, Armand placed the kitten on the stallion’s neck as he swung up quickly, grabbing the kitten to keep her steady before steering the stallion towards the trials. He clicked his tongue slightly and the stallion promptly eased into a smooth trot down the nearest trial. Snow, who’d been for rides like this before was now sitting pretty as could be in the boys lap, paws on the horn of the saddle as she looked around, bright-eyed.
Armand could have laughed to himself. He had the perfect horse for those wanting to be swept of their feet onto a majestic white stallion. He said those, because well, he was bisexual so he wasn’t too picky, as long as their personalties where good, then they’re looks. So now what would this ride hold in store for the trio? Time would tell, that was all that Armand knew. He couldn’t wait for time to go by for once.[/size]
